Also, there were Newspapers in the area around Tuscumbia for that time period. Florence's library might have them but it is so time consuming to read them in valuable travel time, I wrote to the State Library and was able to buy a microfilm copy so that I could read it at a local library near my home. There are usually some "regular" researchers around the library there who are a good source of help. There were very few obituaries in the newspapers for that period of time unless your family was prominent. My family was not but I did have some luck. Look at the advertising if your family had a trade. I was looking for a Henry Williams, Benton, Keeton, Watt, Black which is like a needle in a haystack and found him there.
