Don't know which county Colbert or Franklin would be better or where the resources are there, Any historical societies? Is the Florence library a good start? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am planning a trip to Ala very soon to do genealogy. Thanks Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Franklin County has a archives. The newspapers for Franklin County start in 1890's and there are no marriage, court or other records in Franklin before that same time period because of two courthouse fires. I'm sure you know that Colbert County was a part of Franklin before 1870. If I can answer any questions to help you prepare for your trip you can contact me at bevearline@aol.com Regina Madden -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: ALCOLBER-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 3 Oct 2008 1:18 pm Subject: [ALCOLBER] research for 1825-1832 years Tuscumbia??
