Permelia Catherine Phillips, b. 1830 Franklin Co., AL md. 1st Unknown James, 2nd Unknown Whitlock, 3rd Lafayette Milton 4. Edward Phillips, b. 1833 Franklin Co., AL md. Eliza Ann Robertson - lived in Grimes and Madison Co's Texas 5. Mary Matilda Phillips, b. Unknown TN d. before 1850 Franklin Co., AL md. William McCorkle Trying to determine if they are the children of Edward Phillips that was living in Franklin Co., AL in 1830 and 1840. If so, then there are 4 more Phillips daughters unaccounted for. William H. Phillips lived at Phillips' Mill in Franklin Co., AL. He died sometime after 1880. During the Civil War, he lived just over the county line in Lawrence Co., AL. William's wife, Mary Elizabeth Devaney, was also kin to the King family of Colbert/Franklin Co., AL. Her cousin was Martin VanBuren King and in 1870, she and William were raising her nieces and nephews: Robert King, Ann King, George Washington King and Amanda King. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for dates of death for William and Mary Elizabeth Phillips along with cemetery info.
