    3. Greetings, I am writing once again looking for any leads on Cora Lee WHITE (b. Jan 3 1903 in No. AL or Middle TN) (d. Jun 7 1938) and is buried in Mhoontown Cemetery, Cherokee, Colbert Co., AL. Supposedly, she is the daughter of Daniel WHITE (b. Jul 4 1879 d. Sep 5 1943) and probably Martha Lula UNKNOWN (b. Jan 15 1886 d. Mar 3 1963) buried in Mhoontown Cemetery, Cherokee, AL There is also a Dessie WHITE (b. Jan 21 1923 d. Jul 26 1939) buried next to Martha and Daniel. Daniel W. White (b. 4 Jul 1879) is listed as the son of John N. WHITE (b. ca 1854 in TN) m. to Susan C. (b. ca 1859) in the 1880 census, Seventh Civil District Meigs Co., TN. Susan C. must have been a second wife since she is only 21 and there is a 12 year old daughter, Ida Bell listed. Other children listed are Melbourne R. age 4 and Matilda L. age 3. Daniel W. WHITE is listed in the 1920 US Census in Cherokee Beat, AL. His wife Lula V. age 30, Richard R. age 15, Cecil G. age 12, Myrtle L. age 13, Bennie A.? age 7, Dail J.? age 3 10/12, and Jessie C. age under 1 yr. Cora Lee was married to Hamley Elisha "Ham" WADKINS (b. Sep 15 1895 in MS d. Dec 15 1959 buried in Mhoontown Cemetery, Cherokee, Colbert Co., AL) and their family lived in AL, MS, and TN. My grandmother Cynthia Pauline WADKINS was their oldest daughter (b. Dec 28 1918 m. to Sam ASKEW in 1938 d. Nov 9 1994). Ham was mostly Cherokee and it has been said by distant relatives that Cora Lee had some "Indian blood." However, they were all listed as White (Caucasian) in the info that I have found. If rings a bell with anyone, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks, Kaeli kaeliferguson@bellsouth.net
