Are there still families in the Colbert County area with this last name? I'm really hoping to find descendents of John and Jemima Wallis. They died sometime prior to 1900 but had sons Samuel, Oscar and Luther that might have remained in that area. They also had daughters Josephine Wallis born 1861 and Florence Wallis born about 1864; I don't know who they married. I would love to contact anybody that might have come from this family.
