This place is located north of Cherokee on Hwy 21. As you drive north out of Cherokee on Hwy 21, you go just a little ways and the old mansion is on the left. It sits back from the road a little ways and the only real good view of it is as you are looking straight down the driveway towards it. On either side of the driveway entrance are stone pillars. The mansion looks to be on the verge of collapse now. There are some newer low built buildings directly behind the old mansion and there are some old cars sitting around the place there. I first noticed this big old place a number of years ago and, at that time, I could see that it had been a real beauty at one time. It looks like it might have been a plantation mansion? Can anyone tell me more about this house/mansion? Thank you so much!! Karla Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
