My gr gr grandparents, ADAMSON TANNEHILL SHAW (b. 1777 in Maryland) and his wife, FRANCES HAMPTON, reached the Abbie Community near Leighton in Jan. l819. At that time, this area was in Lawrence Co., but later became a part of Colbert Co. Their children were: Baldy, Henderson, Ephraim, Adamson Tannehill (my gr grandfather), Jessie H.
