    3. Hi Howard, Are you related to the Gray family? My grandfather was Edward Gray; his brother was Robert Gray, and both lived outside Tuscumbia, in Colbert County. My grandfather, Ed Gray, died in the early 1960s and was in his early to mid 70s. That would place him being born somewhere around 1890. Ed Gray married Cora Sockwell. Robert "Bob" Gray married my mother's sister, Alice Hall; so he was my uncle and my great-uncle. I believe that my grandfather, Ed Gray, and possibly Bob Gray, worked on the building of the TVA dam between Sheffield and Florence. Do any of these names ring a bell with you? 3. No, none of those names ring a bell. Sorry. If you go back to the l850-l860 period, there are several Gray groups in the Lawrence County area. Jonathan Gray had a number of sons, but most of that family (my family) moved out of the area due to the violence following the Civil War. James Madison Gray did stay in the area, and he died in l880. His won, William Gray, moved to Decatur and worked for the railway. He died in l920. Another son, John Milton Gray, moved to an area north of Memphis, Tennessee. Anyhow, if you go back to that time period of l850-60s, there are some other Grays in the Lawrence County area. Good hearing from you, Howard Brooks ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Gray" <billdory@pacbell.net> To: <alcolber@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 27, 2006 11:57 PM Subject: Re: [ALCOLBER] Grave removals by TVA > Hi Howard, > > Are you related to the Gray family?
