Any one know this family, have any info on them? In 1870 they were in Colbert Co. census. I have an idea they didn't move, it was cause Colbert Co. was created between the 1860 & 1870 census. Then where they lived in Franklin Co., became Colbert Co. By 1880 Mary (Safronia or Safrona) was in Lauderdale Co., Tennessee with the children, but John is no longer in the household. 1900 Safrona is living in Haywood Co., Tennessee with Thomas J. Vaden and family. Census say Safrona is a cousin to Thomas. She is a widow, married 12 years. I am not sure if I have found Thomas in past census. Says he was born in Alabama. Can't find a Vaden Family in Alabama that works out to be Thomas' family. If he was a cousin to Safronia, would have had to been a cousin by marriage, I would thing, maybe? So Thomas would be a son of a brother to John's dad. Would appreciate any info on this family. Thank you, Cathy

I am looking for a girl named Laura Byrd (maiden name). She was involved in the wedding of my grandparents at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Eutaw, Greene Co, AL on 26 Apr 1906. I have letters written by my grandfather, James Daniel Webb, indicating that she and my grandmother, Alice Ingram Turpin, were great friends. My grandparents were born in 1879 and 1881, putting Laura's birth somewhere in that neighborhood. During the years between 1897 and 1906 she probably lived in Forkland and/or Eutaw. I know that Dr. Alexander H. Byrd lived in Forkland in 1880, but he doesn't appear to have had a daughter named Laura, at least that I can find. There are so many Byrds in AL that I'm not really sure where to look next. My grandmother would certainly know the Alexander Byrd family, as Dr. Alexander married her aunt and both families lived in the same house in Forkland (near/at Thornhill) in 1880. So I would guess that Laura was kin to Alexander Byrd. But my grandmother also spent time in Colbert Co, AL where I also find many Byrds, but no connections to my Byrds. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Alice Campbell
