    2. Bill Gray
    3. Hi Martha, I will appreciate any help you can give me on Green E. Hall. For several years I have hit a brick wall on him. On my paternal side, I have traced back to England/Ireland of 1580 on the paternal tree, and Ireland of 1600 on the maternal tree. So, on one side I am confident that I am English and Irish --- but, the Hall's have me stumped. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. You have me beat. I have only five grandchildren. But, somehow, they are the five most beautiful grandchildren in the world --- and I am not the least bit biased. And, if you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I can sell you very cheap. Thank you and God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day, Bill ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Martha W." wrote: Bill this is your cousin Martha Arnett Wilson from Sheffield, Al. I have been unable to do any research for a few months. I am back in the swing. I will update all my Hall info and mail you a copy. I have Greens parents if I am thinking correctly. I will trace my book down out of storage within a few days. Hope you and the family are well. I have two new great grand sons born in 2007. Love to you and the family. Patterson could be Ellison's brother. Was he born in SC? Is Mary Maxwell his second wife? I've recently been in contact with the descendants of Thomas W. Patterson, born 1819. He is also from Lawrence County AL and I believe he also could be a brother. Thomas W. Patterson and his wife Elizabeth moved to Clay County Arkansas and I know that it was common in those days for families to follow each other. Thomas's family tells me that James was a common family name. Cheryl

    1. [ALCOLBER] WILLIAMS in Colbert/Franklin Counties
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabama.counties.colbert/782/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am descended from John H. WARREN and Susan WILLIAMS, both of an are of Franklin County now in Colbert County, AL. They were in the 1860 census, living beside Jeremiah WARREN. At the outbreak of the Civil War John moved his family out of Alabama and into southern Missouri or Illinois. John's brother Charles Jackson WARREN married Charlotte Ann Williams. I am trying to establish Susan's lineage. In the 1860 census, Jeremiah lived next to Simpson WILLIAMS, who was in his early 40's. The two women who married the WARREN brothers were almost certain to have been related to this WILLIAMS family. Does anybody have more information on these folks?
