    2. Hello Howard: No, I don't know of any Noah Cooper. Most of our Cooper's in the 1800's were in the Cypress Inn, TN area and just across the line into Alabama. Also, there were Newspapers in the area around Tuscumbia for that time period. Florence's library might have them but it is so time consuming to read them in valuable travel time, I wrote to the State Library and was able to buy a microfilm copy so that I could read it at a local library near my home. There are usually some "regular" researchers around the library there who are a good source of help. There were very few obituaries in the newspapers for that period of time unless your family was prominent. My family was not but I did have some luck. Look at the advertising if your family had a trade. I was looking for a Henry Williams, Benton, Keeton, Watt, Black which is like a needle in a haystack and found him there. 2. Franklin County has a archives. The newspapers for Franklin County start in 1890's and there are no marriage, court or other records in Franklin before that same time period because of two courthouse fires. I'm sure you know that Colbert County was a part of Franklin before 1870. 3. Your best bet may be to go to the Colbert Co, AL genweb Page and see if there's any lookup volunteers... I think there was a library link when I looked. This list seems pretty well dead and I've gotten no answers to any queries I've asked about help finding resources or cemetery lookups or anything. I just copied and pasted the library page for you here... hopefully the links will work if you click right on them. Best Wish & God Bless!
