    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3R.2ADE/246.250 Message Board Post: See if this information will help you. If you find a connection, I'd like to exchange info with you. First, I want to suggest that you look in the 1850 Coffee County Census at the family of Jesse Allen Adams, who seems to have been the oldest Adams recorded in the census. If you find a connection there, I can furnish his Adams line back many generations. I have been unable to make a connection with Jesse Allen with my line. Second, I am seeking information about the ancestors of my gggrandfather Alfred/Alford Adams (January 6, 1813-January 19, 1880), who was married to Sarah H. Watson (January 4, 1816-August 4, 1887). Alfred and Sarah moved to Coffee County Alabama from Marion County Georgia sometime between 1842 and 1844. They show up in the 1850 Census in Coffee County, but not in the 1860 Census, then show up in the Covington County Census in 1870. Family speculation is that Alfred was in Walton County Florida after leaving Coffee County, and then moved to Covington County where he and Sarah lived for the remainder of their lives. They are both buried there, at Harmony Baptish Church Cemetery. Because Alfred and your Benjamin were living in Coffee County Alabama at the same time, there is a good chance that they are related. Again, if you find a connection, please share that info with me. The following information about Alfred Adams has been copied from a land grant and two Census records that might be helpful to you.
