This is about all I have on David Harper: David Harper was living in Jackson County, Florida in 1830 (page 093 of that census) and from that census he was shown with three sons and two daughters: one son born: 1820-1825 two sons born: 1825-1830 two daughters born: 1825-1830 By 1840 the David Harper family was back in Henry County, Alabama (page 169 of that census) and was shown with the following twelve children: one son born: 1820-1825 three sons born: 1825-1830 two sons born: 1830-1835 one daughter born: 1820-1825 one daughter born: 1825-1830 one daughter born: 1830-1835 three daughters born: 1835-1840 I didn't have the chance to make an extensive search of the Alabama and Florida censuses to locate them in 1850. In the 18th June 1860 Henry County, Alabama census, household # 152, the Harper household included the following: William M. Harper age 33, b 1827 Florida Sarah F. Harper age 5, b 1855 Alabama May Harper age 57 b 1804 North Carolina John M. Harper age 32 b 1828 Florida Margarite Harper age 25 b 1835 Alabama Elizabeth Harper age 24 b 1836 Alabama Patience E. Harper age 22 b 1838 Alabama Epsey Harper age 19 b 1841 Alabama James M. Webb age 6 b 1854 Alabama John Webb age 5 b 1855 Alabama It's pretty obvious that the above listing included William Harper's siblings and mother, and maybe the Webb children were nephews from an unknown sister's children. If Epsey Harper was the youngest daughter, then her father David died after 1841 in Alabama.
