George was the son of George Henry Stephens and Adaline Davis. George Jr. was born in Ozark, Dale County, Alabama. They had at least eight children. Richard, Sally, twins (Diller and Ella) or (Della and Ella), Anna, Dora, Nancy, and my grandfather George Henry. I am the ninth child born to Annie Lois Stephens and Marvin Mathes. Annie Lois was the daughter of George Henry Stephens Jr. and Fannie Will Cotten. George and Fannie had five daughters, Jesse Ray, Myrtle Leeola, Georgia Lucille, Annie Lois, and Ruby Jim.
