He married Rebecca Ann Padgett (1855 - 1895) on March 3, 1872, in Covington County, Alabama. They had eight children: Viola, Alfred, Beaulah, Andrew, Josephine, Rebecca, Buena Lee, and Pope Lloyd Jr. In about 1896, Pope Lloyd Mosley married Sarah Henderson. They had six children: Julia, John, Ernest, Joseph, Helen, and George. Pope Lloyd Mosley was a Reverend of the Missionary Baptist Church. During the Civil War, he was in the cavalry service and was slightly wounded at Four Mile Creek, near Mobile. He had a brother named William Jordan Mosley that served in the 5th Al Inf. Reg., and was wounded five times at Malvern Hill, subsequently losing his left leg. He was the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Covington County in the late 1880's. Do you know of William Mosley's final resting place? Best Regards, Miles Krisman >
