    3. Hello All, Today I received communication from one of our Coffee County researchers who is not on our list which concerned the Heritage of Coffee County, AL book that is at the publishers. The book is nearing completion from what I saw when I visited the website for the publisher. Below please find a copy of my letter to the party concerning where the book's progress is at the moment. There are directions and links there to the publishers site, if you would like to peruse and check on it yourself. I thought I would send this out for those of you who might like to check on it yourself........ Thank you for your time. Phyllis J. K. "year")). A few days ago, I was scrolling down through the Rootsweb e-magazine, and noticed there the Heritage >Book site, so I decided to send them a message, and inquire about the Coffee County Heritage Book, to which I contributed >and am eagerly looking forward to. Well! They had never heard of the Coffee County Heritage Book, and even deny that >they are the publisher. Am I wrong--dead wrong?? Right now I am pinching myself, and don't know what to think. Could >you provide me a little insight on this matter. Right now, I am not subscribing to the Coffee County list. > Thanks a million, > "Sender" ++++++++ Hello Again, I could not find a link anywhere on the CCAP site. I deleted all links to the Heritage Book of Coffee County project webpage when the book went to the publisher. There is only a front page mention on the CCAP site now that tells that the work has been submitted to the publisher as of January. However, I did find a link referenced to the book on the Pea River Historical and Genealogical Society website...but it was an incomplete link. So, I have searched around until I have found the site of the publisher.....you can visit by following this link: http://www.countyheritagebooks.com/ On this site, click on the COUNTY BOOKS: STATUS & ORDER link on the far left of the page..... On this next page, click on the shape of Alabma on the map..... On this next page, click on Heritage Publishing Consultants' CLICK HERE...... On the next page, go to a link on the far right side of the HPC page called NEWS..... On the next page, you will see after scrolling down that the Coffee County Heritage Book has made it through the Typesetting, Layout and Indexing stages.....last stage which it IS in NOW is Manuscript....this is when book actually is being prepared for total assembly to be ready for delivery. My opinion is that we can be expecting our finished books any time now........of course, this is my personal opinion after looking at the site info mentioned above...I am no publisher by any means. As for who you wrote to, I have no idea who you wrote to. I just wrote to Mr. Bice and am awaiting his reply.....I will be glad to forward you a copy when I receive his reply. Well, I searched it down, and I hope that you find some relief in what I found. But, I will tell you that I am the proud and happy owner of the book "Heritage of Morgan County, AL" that Mr. Bice with Heritage Publishing Consultants published for my home county. It is a wonderful book...so full of information and pictures..... Matter of fact, our homefolk are so proud of our heritage and ancestry that our book has turned out to thusfar be the largest book published in the state of Alabama with 945 pages!! If I may be of any further help to you, please do not hesitate to contact me at kwanja@alaweb.com Fare thee well..... Sincerely, Phyllis J. K. Owens
