    2. Hi Mary: Thanks for responding. No I don't have a Joseph, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't have. My info on John William Smith is "nothing" but his name and where he was born and died. No parents/siblings. I have his two wives and all the children, but that's later information. Two different Census said born in SC, the rest said GA. He died in AL. He and my g-grandmother Sara Ann Frances DANIELLY had the following children: William McDade (my grandfather) Augustus M., Menso Lester, and Phereby Walker who died at birth. Mitchel Alexander SMITH, who married Sara's daughter Mary Walker had the following children: Mitchel Dade & Infant daughter who are buried near my Sara in Ebenezer Church Cemetery, Coffee Co. and Mary Frankie who married John Cifton Anthony, Robert Toombs Smith who 1st married Sara Florence (Florrie) Little and 2nd Rachel Ragsdale, and son Gagrill Casswell SMITH. Mitchel Alexander SMITH's parents were Rev. Caswell SMITH & Susan Hooks. My g-grandmother Sara's 2nd husband was a SMITH and her daughter by John W. PASSMORE married Mitchell Alexander SMITH. Don't know if related. Trying to find "something" on my John William SMITH, whose father was a Physician. Haven't found the Physician, so I'm at this brick wall. Haven't found my John William on any 1850 Census..yet. But, since I don't know where he was in 1850, AL or GA, just know they were in COFFEE county when my g-grandmother died and is buried there. Hopefully, you might recognize one of the names above. There were lots of SMITH's in Coffee/Dale counties. Both my SMITH lines were in Coffee Co. when my g-grandmother Sara died 1873.
