Hi Christine, I was interested in your information on Harriett Calloway Hildreth. I was wondering if you (or anyone else on the Coffee County List) would have any additional information on the Coffee County Calloways. I descend from John D. Calloway who owned land in the Hawridge area in 1837 and the Elba area in 1841. I descend from John's daughter Mary Ann Rachel who married Amos Chancey. Most of the info I have on the Chancey's came from the book: "Some Kings and Allied Families of Conecuh County, Alabama" by Noah Gilbert King. A lot of the info in this book, in turn, came from "The Calloway Journal" of the "Calloway Family Association." Here's what I have on John D.
