My g.g.gmother, Dama (Didamie, Diadema) ADAMS b. abt. 1820 SC m. 1. Unknown HILBURN, 2. John Anzele (Ansel, Anselm) WICKER. John A. WICKER was living in Chambers Co. AL, but moved to Coffee Co. AL. There was a Didama ADAMS on the 1860 Chambers Co. Census (p.38), but our Dama was married and living in Coffee Co. by that time (there are other Adams in her vicinity). Am assuming the other Didama is a relative -- she is living with Robert BONDS -- on Adams' Family Treemaker sites I've seen, he is listed as husband of Mary ROBINSON, dau. of Obedience ADAMS & Benjamin ROBINSON. Same sites give Obedience a sister named Diana (may not have been familiar with the name Didama and assumed it was Diana.) Robert BONDS was living between Silas MOORE and Oliver JOHNSON. On the previous page are: George WILLIAMS and family, Abram SINGER and family, Mary HEATH and family, Elizabeth BONDS (50F) with daughters (I think) incl. Frances FRENCH. John A. WICKER and his family lived in northwest Coffee Co. near Antioch Prim. Baptist Church. Various HILBURN family members lived in that area as well as Covington, Crenshaw and Pike Co. Did have other relatives who lived around Elba who married into the Wicker/Hilburn families: Bowden/BOWDOIN and PRESCOTT. Am hoping some of these ADAMS can connect eventually.
