I found Gabriel in the 1860 Coffee County census. Would love to know more about him...his naturalization, where he married (June 9, 1860) and which family his wife comes from. Their first son, Cephus Bascom, was born somewhere in AL on January 23, 1864. You seem to know a lot about that area and I was wondering if you could help me with my brick wall.
