    3. Sandra & Group - I looked into the website as Sandra suggested in her e-mail [below]. Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation "cannot give you information back about the results of your own genetic test, due to privacy issues.". However, a DNA sample and pedigree would be included in their database so that others might find common ancestors they share with you. They suggest obtaining a copy of your genetic markers from a commercial lab such as Relative Genetics. Commercial labs are generally not under the same privacy constraints as SMGF, and are therefore able to send you a copy of your genetic information. Using these genetic markers you could then search the SMGF database for possible ancestors. The SMGF site would not be of help to me finding the DNA of one of my family groups because I would need "information back" to prove a connection between a "supposed" father and son. I checked out the "Relative Genetics" website they suggested (http://www.relativegenetics.com/) which appears to be a better "commercial type" lab for me to use. This particular lab provides several DNA Services at different prices according to how in depth you want to go. Once at the website click on "Which Product Is Right For Me?". I'm sure other commercial labs could be found by consulting a Search Engine (exp. Google).
