There was a few questions about the Soundex, i hope i have answered them below, remember we were new at this at one time, and as most of you know ,i will help when i can. When i was new at this ,i had search page by page , i didn't know about the Soundex, but when i did learn about it , it was a big help, because the family was not always in the county you thought they might be. How > could I use the soundex code to find them on the 1910 census which is not > If your Library has a genealogy room they will most likely have the census on microfilm if so they will have the soundex for 1880,1900,1910,1920. you will want to search the State that the family was in , this way you do not need to know what county they were in , (it helps) but not needed the soundex has that info, the State Archives have the microfilm (soundex) for your State and most likely for other states as well, The person at the library can help you with this also. one other thing if you search the 1880 soundex, if there not any children under 10 in the Household than you will have to search the census Good luck Hi Christine, I did the surname and got the codes...NOW what do I do with them??? I am at a loss as I am new at this. Thanks, Sandi Christine Grimes Thacker
