We have been told that our Dreading family, spelt many differant ways was known to inter-marry with the Creek and Choctaw. My grandfather said that his mother was at least half Creek. She was Saphronia Turner and her parents were GW Turner and Elizabeth Dreading daughter of James and Nelly Dreading.
