Yall are having so much the fun I just have to get in on this one. I first researched W J Coon 6 or 7 years ago when my aunts were still alive. There was so much confusion with his many wives and families I asked them about him. He was their uncle. Aunt Letha b.1911 remembered that Uncle Bill's second wife was Della and that she died in a fire. Letha also remembered that one daughter was Dollie and that she died early. My Aunt Luverve b.1917 remembered Uncle Bill and said she thought the daughters were Kate and maybe Ruby. Being younger she was probably remembering his second family, with daughters Katie and Cola(?). There is a Cov Co marriage record 3/16/1902 for W. J. Coon and Dovie Mauldin. I believe Dovie and Della to be the same person. I think they had a child b. ca 1907 and named her Queen, probably after W. J.'s older sister. Queen Coon is found in HH of grandfather Henry G. Mauldin in 1920 Cov census. If Della (Dovie) died in a fire perhaps her grandparents took the child to raise. Also in the 1920 Cov census, the stepson listed is Collis (or Calles) Fleming. Mittie E.Anderson, W. J.'s third wife, was first married to Buck Fleming ca 1905. I would like to ask Tonia where she came up with the Dannelly name for Celia.
