Hello all, Thanks to Mr. JD Bedsole, we now have a full transcription of the Rhoades Cemetery of the Perry Store community!! My sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Bedsole for mounting and accomplishing this large task. There is now a link under Cemeteries on the CCAP site. If you wish to go directly to the page, it is located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~alcoffee/rhoadescem.html Again, Mr. Bedsole, "thank you". *smiles* Now, I have a question.....my curiosity is tweaked....listed on the new Rhoades Cemetery page is "Eubanks, G.D. 10/3/1878 - 8/4/1919 Eubanks, Charles Newton (same grave as G.D. Eubanks) 10/3/1878 - 8/5/1919" Are these twins who were born the same date and died within a day of each other nearly 41 years later? Does anyone know? Again, I am just curious. I have two incidents in my family something like this. My great great grandmother died and her daughter died within less than 24 hours. And I have a great aunt who died and her son fell dead two hours later. A strange side to the story on my great great grandmother is that she and her daughter were buried in the same casket. Her daughter was an old maid about sixty at the time, and was a Mama's girl...never left her mother's side. So they buried them in death as they were in life...side by side and inseparable. This would never be allowed today, I suppose. My grandmother remembers the funeral. She said she had never seen anything like the funeral, nor has she since. I would once again like to remind everyone who does transcription work to be on the watch for spiders and snakes while out in those cemeteries transcribing them. If anyone knows about the Eubanks query above, I am curious and interested in the answer. Again, enjoy the Rhoades Cemetery listing that Mr. Bedsole was so kind to get out and work for us. And, Mr. Bedsole, we sure do appreciate your work. Thank you. Take care now, all...... Phyllis J. K. Owens Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Dark Hershey's Chocolate Bar, chocolate-peanut clusters, and Hershey's kisses in one hand, Pepsi, moon pies, peanut butter and all the Beich banana kisses one can hold in the other hand, chewing Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum, body throughly worn out and screaming happily "WooHooo! What a ride!! Yeah!! Yeeeehaaaa!!"
