    3. We definitely coulda used more hands, so next time there's a cemetery to clean off, I hope some of you folks who live here will come help. It's a lot of work, but we also had a good time. At least I did. <g> This is the cemetery we cleaned -- http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/al/coffee/cemeteries/mcgee.txt As you can see, most of these markers date from before 1860. We found all of the markers that were extant in the 1974 survey. This is the family of John McGee, brother of Alfred (the McGee cemetery on 246 is where Alfred and some of his family are buried). I don't know if John has any living descendants -- 6 of his 9 children are buried with him. If there's anybody out there of John's line, I'd like to hear from you. He did have a son William who was alive in 1880. Three sons of John Cornelius McGee came to Coffee Co. from Harris Co., Georgia in the late 1840s/early 1850s -- John, Alfred, and Milton. Milton married Elizabeth Fleming (another Harris Co to Coffee Co family). He died young, Elizabeth remarried and went to Texas. Their descendants are out there. There are a good many descendants of Alfred's line still in Coffee Co. Georgia Fleming Enterprise [email protected]

    3. Thank you kindly for that info, Georgia. And my sincere thank you for helping with the McGee Cemetery. Phyllis J. K. Owens Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Dark Hershey's Chocolate Bar, chocolate-peanut clusters, and Hershey's kisses in one hand, Pepsi, moon pies, peanut butter and all the Beich banana kisses one can hold in the other hand, chewing Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum, body throughly worn out and screaming happily "WooHooo! What a ride!! Yeah!! Yeeeehaaaa!!" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fleming" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 10:36 AM Subject: Re: [ALCOFFEE] HELP!!
