I believe that Churchwell is my gggf through his son Brooks Patrick. I have reached a deadend on the parentage of Churchwell. I found him in the 1860 Coffee Co., AL census and then the whole family almost disappears. Even though Churchwell was probably in his 40's, I think he died in a POW Camp during the Civil War. The 57th Alabama Infantry was composed of many Coffee Co. men and there were very few Patricks in Coffee Co. in 1860 and none with a name close to Churchwell that I could find.
