    3. Shirley, what memories. Ii´m 82 yrs young. So well do I remember even particpated in the chores. We carried our cloths down to the creek as well hang them on the bushes..For some reason the red bugs were not plentiful then....Came home build a fire in the fireplace, heated the irons for the remainder of the laundry...Many time because of haste or carelessness we did´n´t check the iron before laying in on the garment.
