Census. There were two Churchwell Patricks about the same time. According to the 1880 Al. census, Churchwell was born about 1820 in N.C. John Patrick was Pernal's father. He had at least two other sons, Samuel and James, I think were their names. The Churchwell name is not that common and I believe that the Churchwell found in the 1860 AL census could be the son of one Pernal's brothers. He could be a cousin to the other Churchwell. The Levi Patrick that was in Alabama in 1860, could also be related to this line in some way. Not much is known about Sanuel and James Patrick. At least I haven't been able to find it yet. Maybe you will have better luck if you get a chance to research them. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
