John B. Teel 1800-1870 Married Elizabeth (Indian) (--?--) 1802-1869 Son: Thomas R.C. Teel 1837-1916 married Martha J. (--?--) 1st. wife Buried in Teel Cementery/Kinston, Ala. Tom was a veteran of the Civil War. Children: Amanda, Nancy, Josie Phine, John, Samantha, Martha. There are two girls listed with the name Nancy. Query Why? Mary Jane Meeks married Jarred Coon.. Jarred Coon was killed during the Civil war.. Jane never married again.. according to census the Teels and Coons were neighbors.. Thomas Teel and Mary Jane Coon had an affair or what ever it was called back then.. from them my G/Grandfather was concieved. Joseph Jernigan Coon.. Jane Coon gave him her dead husbands last name..
