My father, Jay ADAMS' great great Grandfather David TOMBERLIN married Rachel HELMS who was a daughter of John Whitehead HELMS & Lavinia HELMS. My mother's side is a more current Helms connection, but as you stated, those Helms interface so many ways. Hence the more current Helms on my mom's side actually twine back into the same connection...just a different route. Anyhow, below is my father's HELMS connection.
