In Memory of Mother Enterprise Ledger Thursday, October 28, 2004 Geraldine Deshazo Croley Mrs. Geraldine Deshazo Croley, 92, of Enterprise, Alabama died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in Medical Center Enterprise. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Dr. Ted Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at Searcy Funeral Home. Mrs. Croley was a devoted Christian and was a long-time member of First Assembly of God Church, Enterprise. She was a well-know seamstress. I was alone with her (Tuesday Oct. 26, 2004 10:44pm) at the last and was able to pray and ask God to bless and take care of her. She then took her last breath as I told her how wonderful she was as a Mother. She opened her eyes and looked at me as she let go. Then she closed her eyes as in peace. It is my belief that she was saying "let me go to my rest, I am tired and ready to meet my Sweet Jesus"...... Her leaving will be devastating to the hearts of us who loved her and was left behind and a joy to the ONE WHO WILL RECEIVE HER. She was preceded in death by her Husband, William Lee Croley, two daughters and three sons, Willie Dean Croley of Enterprise; Elmer Jean Batchelor of Niceville, Fla.; Kathy Loy of Houston, Texas; James Bernard (Jimmy) Croley of Pensacola, Fla.; and Don Croley of Enterprise. Survivors include a loving family consisting of two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and James Overby of League City, Texas; Yvonne and Kenneth Grantham of Ozark; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Mother is at peace and with her sweet Jesus. I will miss her daily and forever with much love. pat. Overby (researching DeShazo, Collins, Cro(w)ley, Warr and many more wonderful family members from Coffee and Dale County.)
