Jonas Parker Bell, b 19 June 1811 in Edgecomb County, North Carolina, d 3 January 1892 in Geneva County, ALabama; he was the son of Joshua Bell Jonas Parker Bell married Cherry Bryant abt 1839 in Houston, Heard County, Georgia Children listed on 1860 Dale Co. Census: Joseph H. 20, John T. 15, Mary Anna 12, James C. 10, Ema E. 7; 1860 Census shows him with 4400 in Real Property and 19790 in Personal Property. He is a widower in 1870 with John and Emaline (Ema E.) in the houshold In 1880 he is listed in Geneva Co. with his second wife Susan, and daughter Susan C. 10 months old. He is 68, wife Susan is 38. As far as I know, Susan C. (Susan Cherry) was the only child born to him and Susan. Susan Cherry Bell married my great-great-grandfather's brother, Dr. Franklin Heath. Georgia Fleming Coffee Co AL
