I'm one of the simple folks and I'm amazed. Lauren, Rootsweb Volunteer since 1996, 159 boards and approximately 100 lists still has time to be the tagline / welcome message / bandwidth police for this list??? She could have been a little "simpler" with her advice... or suggestion... or reprimand to you about removing the part about the fees for PRHGS (if that is a BIG NO NO for lists). Good grief...I'm sure it isn't a capital offense, warranting life with no parole in the Rootsweb Jail. Since day one...when I was a simple newbie....I never, ever thought, because of the message about the fees at PRHGS, that there was a fee to subscribe to any Rootsweb list. Please don't give this up, Phyllis. LaCreta, Tulsa OK --------------------------------- Need a vacation? Get great deals to amazing places on Yahoo! Travel.

Those who wish to join with us, can meet up with us at the PRHG Society's Enterprise Welcome Center located on Boll Weevil Circle across from Martin-Colley Drug Store. We will carpool from the Welcome Center. We expect to return to Enterprise after lunch. I hope that many can join us. Yes, please show me your photos of Simmons Mill. I wonder if Chestnut Grove Cemetery is located in Simmons Mill. When my husband's mother (Ann Mae Green (Cullen) died 2 1/2 years ago, she was buried there after a church service in Troy, Ala. When we followed the line of cars to the cemetery, the road was so winding with little road signs that we could not remember where if we should return. The family's last name is Green who lived in Simmon Mill, in case, you may be familiar with. Please contact me at FoliageOct@aol.com Thank you for contacting me. Need information on Nancy Jane COON, b. 20 Jun 1869 - d. 22 Apr 1926. She married on 14 Aug 1889 to Noah P. Jones, b. 25 Jan 1869 - d. 12 Oct 1958. Both buried in Alberton Cemetery, Coffee County. Noah was the son of Jasper Calvin Jones and Catherine Matilda Taylor. I believe Nancy may have been the daughter of George W. Coon & Babe Benton. I'd like to know if this is true and who were the parents of George W. Coon? And, who were Babe's parents? I have 3 George Coons in my line but none of them fit this profile. Can someone help? Shelby

If you get down to the area I am sure someone can help you. I can tell you that if you come from Montgomery to Troy on 231 to the stop light at Burger King and turn right on highway 87 and follow it until it turns into 167 just below Springhill which is about 10 miles below Troy you can find it. On 167 you will go less than 7 miles to Clowers bridge and after you cross the bridge there will be a road turning back to your left and it will take you to Chestnut Grove and there are 2 churches a methodist and a baptist.
