    3. To the lady who recently contacted me in regards a lookup for the marriage of her grandfather, Charlie BOSWELL. After further research I have found Charlie down in Geneva County where he married Lela Tidwell on 3/31/1912. The marriage record can be found in Book 8, page 77 in the Geneva County courthouse in Geneva, Alabama. I checked my cemetery indexes and could not find his father, Mathis, anywhere but you might check the Geneva cemeteries online and see if he might be there. Sorry I missed Charlie the first time but all's well that ends well, huh? (:>) I will keep my eye out for Mathis. Yours; Willie in California

    3. Posted on: Coffee County Alabama Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Coffee/10561 Surname: Nowling, Johnson, Thompson, Grimes, Burgess ------------------------- I saw your query regarding HATTAWAY. I do not have an answer, but do have a question: Do you know where in Coffee Co (or Crenshaw) people with this surname would have lived around 1900 or some years before or after? We own 250 acres of land that is partly in S. Crenshaw and partly in Coffee Co. It's located in what is now the Bullock Community, off the Old 3-Notch Road, or highway 43, south of Brantley. When we bought the property about 15 years ago, there were signs that someone had once had a house there. The "rumor" we heard was that they were namedHattaway or Attaway or something similar. I had Nowling and Johnson relatives nearby during the 1850's to 1870's, but know no relation to the Hattaway family. I would just like to know the history of the land. According to the land records, no Hattaways owned the land, but I thought they may have rented it. Thanks. Gaylier Miller
