    1. [ALCOFFEE] Re: MARY BERRY WHITE OBITUARY
    2. I don't have any other information besides the obituary. It's not a line that I am working on. I had a copy of the Florala News that I had picked up from there when I was visiting, and I just thought someone might be interested in the obituary. I know how hard it can be to get a copy of an obituary from a small town newspaper. Sorry I can't be of any further help.

    1. [ALCOFFEE] Re: MARY BERRY WHITE OBITUARY
    2. Did Mary Berry White have twin uncles Troy and LeeRoy Berry who lived in Coffee Co. AL in the 1880's. One of the twins (not sure which one) married Barbara Galloway in Coffee Co and moved to Texas when eldest son Will Berry was six years old. I think Troy Berry is my great grandfather. Is there a connection here?

    1. [ALCOFFEE] Virus Attachment sent by Patsy Collins
    2. Doug and Joyce Severt
    3. Hello to members of all these newsgroups, I just received an e-mail message from a Patsy Collins (copy of message MINUS attachment appears below) and knew immediately that something was wrong as it had a double file extension. I saved the message to a floppy disk and scanned it with Norton and sure enough, the file is actually W32.Badtrans.13312@mm which is definitely a virus that has been circulating. Here is the way the message looks: Subject: Re: Sims family in Alabama (Lowndes and Pike, eventually) Date: Mon, 30 Jul 2001 11:48:23 -0500 (CDT) From: "Patsy Collins" <patsycollins@surfglobal.net> To: <djsevert@ionet.net> 'Doug and Joyce Severt' wrote: ==== - Good Morning Colleen, and all the other Sims’ who posted - - Our Sims list should be active for quite some time while all of us with - Alabama Sims connections repost to answer your question. That’s good - though; it never hurts to put our information out again. I have 2 Sims - (maternal as well as paternal) lines that I’m researching in Alabama. - My maternal line begins with Waller Sims who married Mary Bradley in the - mid 1810's and settled as a farmer in ...' > Take a look to the attachment. Notice that the message is from Patsy Collins and it is said that Doug and Joyce Severt wrote and the next name is Colleen. I am Joyce Severt and I do in fact research the Sims family, but I have never heard of or communicated with EITHER a Patsy Collins or a Colleen through any newsgroup or personal e-mail. A word to the wise to anyone who reads this, NEVER, ABSOLUTELY Never open a file with a double file extension. Save anything you suspect to a floppy and use your virus program to check it for viruses. What a pity that otherwise talented people resort to this type of activity to get their jollies. I find them to be despicable! Sincerely, Joyce Sims Severt -- "Tell me and I forget. Show me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." 2. Hello, I am new to this list. I hope someone out there can help me. Here is some of the info that I have. Thomas M. "Bright" Moye b 1818 SC d 22Jul 1905 in Texas. Buried at Big Sandy Cemetery. Spouse: Ann Wiggins b 1821 in Alabama d 13 Mar 1888 in Texas. Buried at Big Sandy Cemetery. Thomas and Ann were married in Alabama and started their family there. They are not present on the census until 1870. They arrived in Texas around 1860 but missed the census there. Children of Thomas and Ann Wiggins Moye are: George Washington - b Ala Rebecca Elizabeth -b Ala Martha Ann -b Ala Nancy -b Ala Thomas M. -b Ala Annis -b Coffee Cty, Ala John -b Texas William - b Texas Geneve (Jeneve) - b Texas It seems the Wiggins and Moye families moved to Texas at about the same time. I am searching for the parents and siblings of Ann Wiggins Moye. Also the father of Thomas M. "Bright" Moye. I believe his father was living with them in Alabama and died in Alabama before the move to Texas as he is not listed with them there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
