    1. [ALCOFFEE] Really bad new virus circulating
    2. Shelby Corcoran
    3. I just received from our Support Center the news about a new virus, see message about the virus below: From: Corporate Support Center Date: September 19, 2001 Re: W32/Nimba Virus W32.Nimda.A@mm is a new mass-mailing worm that utilizes multiple methods to spread itself. The worm sends itself out by email, searches for open network shares, attempts to copy itself to unpatched or already vulnerable Microsoft IIS web servers, and is a virus infecting both local files and files on remote network shares. The Nimda virus uses every trick in the book to spread, say virus experts, including email and IRC - it can even download itself through a browser from infected Web servers. When the worm arrives by email, the worm uses a MIME exploit allowing the virus to be executed just by reading or previewing the file. Also, the worm will create open network shares on the infected computer, allowing access to the system. During this process the worm creates the guest account with Administrator privileges. If you use your preview pane option, please change to the regular view. To do this, from your menu bar go to View à Preview Pane. Name of attachment: README.EXE (This file will NOT be visible as an attachment in the email received). Another worker here also reported getting a suspicious email, here's what she said: I just received a letter from HaHaHa was the name the email came from. When I opened up my email the preview window was open. In the letter was a strange story about Snow white and the dwarves entering . It had an attachment to it. I have deleted the file but I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. This might be a version of this virus.

    2. Peg & Dave Leslie
    3. Cindy: If you find anything out, I'd love to hear about it. My grandfather had turpentine and sap farms and a lumber mill. I don't know if the mill had anything to do with turpentine. I have been told it burned around 1923 but the person who told me didn't even know where it was. It was probably southwest Coffee County, western Geneva County or Florida - I assume close to Geneva County but don't know. >On the same surname line, my Jabe HUGGINS worked as a turpentine >laborer, lived in Parker, Coffee Co., AL in 1900. I wondered if >anyone could direct me to information about this industry during this >time frame in Coffee County. > >Cindy

    1. [ALCOFFEE] Huggins, AL; 1904 rand McNally Map; History?? Earlier HUGGINS -- connection or coincidence?
    2. Gallagher
    3. Hello, list: My name is Cindy Gallagher and I am working on my mother's side of the family. They were the William Jabius "Jabe" HUGGINS family who moved to Coffee County, AL around or just before the 1900 Federal Census. In that year's census, the family lived in Precinct 2, Parker, in the NE area of Coffee County. Jabe and his wife, Frances Elizabeth TOLSON HUGGINS, were both born in South Carolina. Jabe's parents were Sallie POSTON and John L. HUGGINS and Jabe was born in Chesterfield County, SC. Frances' parents were Booka Gandy TOLSON and Serena EDWARDS of Darlington County. Jabe is the only sibling who moved to south Alabama as far as we know at this point. My question actually pertains to a town called HUGGINS which was on a 1904 map (I found this on-line via the State of AL website) located near the Coffee County - Geneva County line. Does anyone know who founded the town, where these Huggins came from, etc? I was also interested in the fact that Pledger appeared on the map as a "town" since Pledger was a name from Marlboro County where my GRIFFIN line originated. Cindy SC>AL Surnames: GRIFFIN, HUGGINS (collateral CAULEY) SC Surnames: GRIFFIN, STANTON, STAFFORD, PEARSON, BRADDOCK, HUGGINS, TOLSON, POSTON, EDWARDS, GANDY
