    3. Debra, have you searched your Maddox family. I have an Ellis that married William Maddox that I have been searching. She was the daug. of Thomas M. Ellis and Martha Jane (Blackman)Plant. Does this fit with you? 3. I'm pretty sure this is a match. I have John Donaldson and Elizabeth Louise Beard in my lineage, too. I don't have anything on the Spurlin family farther back than Lucinda. Do you have that family farther back? Nice making your acquaintance! 3. Hi Cousin! As soon as I saw Davis, Donaldson and Spurlin from Coffee County, I knew I had found another cousin. :o) I don't find an Alzada Davis Donaldson in my records, but I have an Azalea Elizabeth Davis, born in 1876. Your Miranda Spurlin Donaldson could be my Lucinda Miranda Spurlin, b 25 Dec 1854 in Coffee County. Died 16 Dec 1928 in Florala, Florida. Married Joel Donaldson, 2 Oct 1873. Twelve (12) children! Prolific bunch weren't they? :o) If this is a match let me know and we'll work out some more details. 3. In the 1860 Coffee Census there was an Owen Crumpler (age 72) and Annie Crumpler (age 55) living in the household of Joseph Brannon (age 30) and Mary E. Brannon (age 28). This Owen may be the father of my g-g-grandfather Griffin Crumpler. Does anyone know who these Brannons were? Annie may have been a second wife of Owen, given the age difference -- maybe she was the mother by a first marriage of Joseph or Mary? Any help appreciated. Georgia Fleming Enterprise

    3. Janet, Sorry, afraid I can be of little or no help; whatever it is that I do, runs directly to Confederate soldiers from SE Ala and limited family information; I'm sure there are others listers who can be of far greater help than I. The few Confederate Folsom's I have encountered were mostly from Barbour and Coffee; Elisha, 1824-1887, who you mentioned earlier, served as Pvt, Co A, 3d Bn, Ala Reserves; I believe he was a s/o John Folsom; Elisha m. Martha Lee, 1817-1870; at least one son served in the war, William W. as Pvt, Co H, 53d Ala Cav Rgt; Elisha and Martha are buried at Old Tab in Coffee. There were two that I know of from Barbour County, both I believe lived in the Eufaula Area: George Washington, b. 1848 in Barbour; served as a pvt in the Girard Home Guards; and James M., b. 1842 in Randolph County, Ga served first in the 1st Ga Inf Rgt and later in the 3d Bn, Ga Inf; d. Oct 15, 1917 and he and w. Nancy L., 1849- 1910 are buried in Fairview Cemetery at Eufaula; in looking at a 1903 obit from Barbour, James and George were sons of Elizabeth, who d. at Eufaula, age 90. The others who would have served from the area, but I know nothing further: A.J., Pvt, Co B, 57th Ala Inf. Jackson, Pvt, Co D, 53d Ala Cav. Young R. Folsome, Pvt, Kolb's Btry, Ala Lgt Arty. 2. Mr. Jones........and other Folsom researchers: I am interested in Folsom genealogy (not my direct line but related). My new work schedule does not allow me much time to contribute or to research. Would like to hear from all of you regarding Folsom family. My mother's sister married Eric Folsom (both deceased in last 10 years). Also distantly related, through marriage, to Walter and Jamie Folsom (still living). Believe that all three are connected to Elisha Folsom. Any information appreciated. This is my mother's family but believe Folsoms from Wiregrass area also vaguely connected to my WATSONS in Dad's line. Thanks! ~ Janet ~

    3. Just what does someone want to know about the Donaldsons? A long time ago when I was a child I attended the same school at Henderson in Pike County as did Walter, Grover, Martha and Christine. My younger brother knows some more than I do . Martha and her husband, George Tillery, Sr. are buried at Hopewell. Does Debra Maddox Wilson want information? Kathlyn J. Folmar
