I believe that Churchwell is my gggf through his son Brooks Patrick. I have reached a deadend on the parentage of Churchwell. I found him in the 1860 Coffee Co., AL census and then the whole family almost disappears. Even though Churchwell was probably in his 40's, I think he died in a POW Camp during the Civil War. 3. My grandparents did a similar thing. From Coffee County they moved to Taylor County, FL got married and live there for less than 2 years and moved back to Coffee County. My great-grandfather started a sawmill in Boyd, FL and my grandfather apparently worked for/with him before he got married. Maybe your grandparents were in a situation like this??
