Janie, I was able to locate the survey for Ranburne "Lost Creek" Baptist Church but pages 2-5 were missing. I think these pages were separated from the others and I will look for them. However I did find the following names that you asked about: W.A. Walker 02 May 1910 02 Oct 1961 ss Flora Walker 11 Aug 1913 (only date) ss Treadwell, Mamie H. 18 Jul 1890 14 Aug 1960 Mamie's was listed by herself. Other names that you requested could be on the missing pages of my survey and I will try to locate those missing pages. The survey has 38 pages so I would try the locations that Linda Lowery mentioned in her post to request a copy. The copy that I have is a typed copy given to me by a fellow researcher who got it from a friend who I was under the impression walked and surveyed the cemetery. If there is a published version at in the locations Linda suggested I think that those locations would be the places to request the transcripts. I do not want to infringe on any copyrights. Any old picture is of interest to me. Thanks for the link. I checked the Bethleham Campground cemetery in Randolph County and there are no Treadwell's buried there. If I could just find one of them, I bet the rest will be found in the same cemetery. Let me know what you find this week-end. But only look if you have time. I know that there is still Treadwell's living there. We moved from Ranburne in 1958. I will dig out my Cleburne Co Heritage Book this weekend and see if any of the names are listed in it. Somewhere in all my stuff I think I have a printout of Ranburne Cemetery I will just have to try and find it. I know there is online Bethlehem/Campground Cemetery and you might check that. I did find this line to the 47 graves online and I thought this picture might be of interest but maybe not. I get up at 2am and work from 4am to 2:30 so I go to bed early and Sat & Sun afternoon is the time I try to get something done. I know in the 1860 timeframe there was a wagon train that left from Ranburne and went to Texas mainly Bell Co. I had a lot of relatives that were on the wagon train. Cosper and Gibbs in particular. Like I said I will try to help you the best I can. The link may be in a different email. I will keep this email and look for the names this weekend. I'm looking for any information on the descendants of Mamie L Hanson and Clarence B. Treadwell. My great-great-grandfather McIntosh's sister married a Treadwell. One of their sons, Zadock D. Treadwell, moved from Carroll County, GA to Cleburne Co., AL, then on to Texas. One of Zadock Treadwell's son married Mamie L. Hanson in Cleburne County and they had the following children: - William Zedd Treadwell, married Otie Mae Smith. - Flora Bell Treadwell, married William A. Walker - Cecil Grace Treadwell, may have married Rex Newton Thomas - Fred Treadwell, married Elsie - Eunice Sybil Treadwell, married Justin Darrell Roegner - Polly O. Treadwell - Mary H. Treadwell Mamie is listed as widowed in the 1930 census. I looked on line and the Ranburne Baptist Church doesn't appear to have been transcripted yet. On www.findagrave.com, there are only 47 listings. Any help you could give me would be great. And I know about those "memory problems". I'm 59 and I have the same problem. I was born and raised in a little town that is called Ranburne, AL. It has been know by many in its earlier days as Lost Creek. There are still living in the community Hanson's and Treadwell's. My great-great uncle had a son name Sam Gibbs who married a Donnie Hanson. In earlier days there was a Hanson Store I vaguely remember it. I am 63 so some of it is not fresh on my mind. There is a Cleburne Co Heritage Book that can be purchased but I don't know where to get one at the moment. There is online and I do not know the web address off hand where there are several cemeteries listed with all the graves listed. You can try just typing in Ranburne Baptist Church Cemetery and it might pull it up. I can't remember if it was in usgenweb or rootsweb. I will try to help you find the info you need. It would be my guess that they would be buried there possibly. Also between Ranburne, AL and Bowdon, Ga, a distance of about 6 miles some folks call that area Lost Creek also. I know some of the history of the area and like I said I will try to help if you will tell me what you need. Looking for your response. Thanks for the information Larry. And I'll do as you suggested and contact the libraries.
