Is there a Cleburne County cemeteries book? I'm trying to find out where Mamie Lou Hanson Treadwell is buried. Her parents were William T. and Nancy Lou Fullilove Hanson. Best I can tell she lived in Lost Creek most of her life. Thanks, Janie Austin, Texas

Hello Janie, My name is Wayne Gibbs and I live in White Plains, AL a short distance from the Cleburne Co. line. I was born and raised in a little town that is called Ranburne, AL. It has been know by many in its earlier days as Lost Creek. There are still living in the community Hanson's and Treadwell's. My great-great uncle had a son name Sam Gibbs who married a Donnie Hanson. In earlier days there was a Hanson Store I vaguely remember it. I am 63 so some of it is not fresh on my mind. There is a Cleburne Co Heritage Book that can be purchased but I don't know where to get one at the moment. There is online and I do not know the web address off hand where there are several cemeteries listed with all the graves listed. You can try just typing in Ranburne Baptist Church Cemetery and it might pull it up. I can't remember if it was in usgenweb or rootsweb. I will try to help you find the info you need. It would be my guess that they would be buried there possibly. Also between Ranburne, AL and Bowdon, Ga, a distance of about 6 miles some folks call that area Lost Creek also. I know some of the history of the area and like I said I will try to help if you will tell me what you need. Looking for your response.
