Consider that in 1830 the population of Georgia was about 50,000 people, half of which are slaves. My lineage goes back to Joshua Horn b 1796 in NC but he winds up in Troup Co Ga and finally to Horn's Valley Ala. (which is in Clay Co) I believe that Joshua is the son of a John Horn who lived in Monroe co Ga and won land in the land lottery for land that is now Troup. There are intermarriages with the Horn's and Dison's (GW Dison and Darthy Ann Horn). I think John Horn died in Troup. Joshua died in Horn's Valley and is buried there.
