I have tons of info on the Brownings of Clay County. My gggrandfather was James Madison Browning. He had many children, one of whom was William Jesse, who was my ggrandfather. He married Sara Francis Bradberry, they had 14 children, one of whom was my grandmother, Ara Virginia. She married a Browning from Tallapoosa County, (no relation, or very distant) so my father, an only child, Emery, was a double Browning. I have much info on my grandmother's side, but nothing past my great grandfather, John David Browning, from Tallapoosa county. I will be happy to share everything I have, if this is your Browning line. I will have to copy and mail it all to you, though. Let me know. And if you have any info on the Brownings, please send it. It could be that it is something I don't have. And who knows? Maybe the Talladega County Brownings are my grandfathers...they could have moved around.
