They came from Georgia in the 1850's. and developed a homestead along hwy. 9. Please add the Brooks family to your lists of early settlers. My ggggrandfather was Allen Brooks. His son, William was my gggrandfather. He married Elizabeth Williamson b. 1835 and died 1877. Their oldest son , John Quiency Adams Brooks was my ggrandfather. His oldest son was William Thomas Brooks who was my grandfather. He died in 1918.
