My Great grandmother, Aramitta Frances Sims (also spelled Arminta) married Robert Campbell Mellon on January 22, 1850 in Coweta County, Georgia. I believe Aramitta's father was John Sims. That is about all we know about our Clay County Sims connection except - my mother Myrtle Frances Casey Hurst is a first cousin to Grover and Lisbon Sims of Clay County.
