    3. Carol C-H I have been researching the Jordan line in moderate detail. Not because there is a family relationship, but ......... Capt. Mortimer H. Jordan, MD commanded Company K of the Fourth Alabama Infantry. When it was absorbed into the regular army in 1917, it became the 167th Infantry of the 42nd [Rainbow] Division. My father was in Co. K and knew Capt. Jordan .... during training here in the US, and continuing into combat in France in 1918. My father was very seriously wounded on July 26, 1918 at the Battle of Chateau Thierry. Capt. Jordan was fatally wounded only a few days later. I have been working on my own family genealogy for several years, but have been doing a "Jordan project" because of that WW I link. I have a reasonably large amount of materials that I would be happy to share with you. My own independent work is only a small part of that. Most of my materials have come via the web on the internet. Have discovered that there is an enormous amount of Jordan research available on the web, and I can provide a big selection of web site URLs for you.. Let me know a bit more about the focus of your Jordan interests, and what I might be able to provide that would be helpful to you. Carl Thomas Knoxville, Tennessee
