She married John Quiency Adams Brooks in 1873. She died abt. 1898. Her father was William Elliot Barnett b. 1832. Her mother was Mazella Hammonds b.1854 in Talladega. Willaim Elliot's sister, Louise C. Barnett b. 1847 married William Elijah Lucker. they are buried at Rock Springs Baptist Church. The Lukers, Barnetts, Brooks, Hammonds, and Machens are all kin. A lot of decendants are still living there. I visited Grady Barnett's home recently. His wife said there was a Luker family living next door. I plan to visit them next week.
