I am new to genealogy, but loved hearing stories about earlier times when I was a child visiting my grandmother in Simpson Community. One of my favorites was about a Mrs. Teel(sp) who was a psychic. Evidently she could tell folks all kinds of things they wanted to know- according to my grandmother, my grandfather went to her to find his prizes bull who had gone missing. Mrs. Teel told him he would never see that bull again, told him where to find a cut fence where the bull had been stolen and told him where in Georgia the bull had to marketed. According to the story, everything she told him was true. Rumor had it that the US government even consulted with her during WWII. My mother only remembers that she lived "a little ways away- not around from around New Site". Does anyone know of this person, Mrs. Teel, and her psychic abilities?
