A special, special, thanks to Kaye Watts for the listing of the 1880 census. I was able to find my great grandfather, James V. Arnold; my grandfather's older siblings (although he was not born yet); my great grandmother, Sarah Barnes; and a reference to her father, Lewis Barnes. I am sending this note because often you never know how helpful your efforts are for other folks. It is so difficult for those of us who are now away from Alabama to check primary sources (or even read them if we are able to find them). Really appreciate your work on this, Kaye. H. That's fantastic!!!! Always good to know someone has been helped and surely Kaye works very hard just to hear stories like this!!!
