GARRETT INJURES OTHERS A storm that struck the home of Tom Roberston, near Cragford in Clay County, Monday morning a few minutes after midnight, brought death to Henry Garrett, 41, and serious injuries to several others. The house and six out-buildings on the place were destroyed. No damage was done to the other houses in the community. Funeral service and burial were conducted at New Harmony Church and Cemetery, Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Garrett is not thought to be seriously injured and was the only one able to go for help after the storm struck. Her parents, Mr. And Mrs. George Robertson, were dangerously injured. Mrs. Robertson is reported to have developed pneumonia. Their son, Tom Robertson, was still unconscious last night. His wife was badly injured, and their baby suffered a broken arm. Red Cross representatives reached the scene of the disaster Tuesday and promptly began to aid in relief measures. They had Mrs. George Robertson and her son Tom, brought to a Roanoke Hospital today. Mr. and Mrs. George Robertson are the parents of Mrs. Garfield Heard, of Roanoke, and Henry Garrett was her brother-in-law and a former resident of Roanoke.
